UX/UI: Carly Daily Sales Planner Landing Page
Project Summary & Goal
Brand and implement new visuals into the UI of the "Carly", a platform designed to supplement B2B Sales Representatives’ planning of scheduling and prioritization of clients and prospects. Entice the Sales Representatives to use it as their primary tool for planning their sales strategy through a strong brand and cohesive visuals.
UX/UI: Design a new/more inviting login screen for mobile and desktop.
Problem
The UX/UI was "out of the box" with little to no customization or personality. Designing a more engaging login screen for desktop and mobile was first priority after branding the platform as "Carly" and implementing the visuals into the UI. Ultimately the ability to make additional changes to the UX was a limitation because of developers’ workloads.
See below for the “before” screens:
Wireframing
Although fairly straightforward, I started with a couple of wireframes to sort out the composition, and look and feel of the elements on the page. Exploring everything from rounded corners on the CTAs to how the input form should look for the login information. This particular login screen only needed the bare minimum of login information so ultimately the UI was a matter of visual detail and alignment with the new branding.
Visual Design
Not only did the design need to be polished and align with the new branding, it also had to be clean and simple. Login pages ultimately have one goal… to log the user into the platform. Anything superfluous in the design that distracted from that goal was unnecessary, however we did have a goal of adding personality. A big part of the branding was to create a persona of a personal assistant. In order to maintain an inclusive environment the icon was developed for the brand, however, the login page and supporting assets were used as platforms to personify the assistant in multiple forms.
